Every Champion Starts Somewhere. this is somewhere

Grow for Gold is a community-driven initiative led by Sports Gold Coast, supporting a cohort of 12 elite young athletes on the pathway to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Backed by leading Gold Coast organisations and the City of Gold Coast, the program connects business, community and sport to support the next generation of Australian athletes. At a critical stage in their development, this is where potential is backed, pathways are strengthened, and futures are shaped.

What is Grow for Gold?

The pathway to elite sport is becoming increasingly demanding. Not just physically, but financially and structurally.

For many young athletes, the years between junior success and senior competition are the most critical, and often the most challenging.
Without the right support, even the most talented athletes can fall away from the system. With Brisbane 2032 on the horizon, there is a unique opportunity to strengthen that pathway and ensure the next generation is given every.

Grow for Gold exists to play a role in that solution, while creating a meaningful way for business and community to be part of the journey.
