Grow for Gold is one of Australia’s most ambitious, community-driven legacy programs, uniting business, government and community to support the next generation of Australian sporting excellence.

The program supports 12 of the Gold Coast’s most promising young athletes on a seven-year journey toward the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.It represents an $840,000 direct athlete funding commitment, providing $10,000 per athlete per year over seven years.

It is backed by a group of committed Gold Coast businesses and the City of Gold Coast.

FUNDING

Providing $10,000 per athlete annually over seven years, Grow for Gold delivers meaningful financial support to assist with training, competition, equipment and travel — helping remove the barriers that often limit progression in elite sport.

Supporting athletes beyond performance, the program provides access to wellbeing, media and career pathway guidance — helping them develop not only as athletes, but as individuals preparing for life on and beyond the podium.

Sports Gold Coast is a not-for-profit organisation that connects business, community and sport, with more than a decade of experience of delivering major sporting events, strategic partnerships and legacy initiatives across the region.

Rather than waiting for talent to emerge, the program is designed to identify, back and develop athletes at a critical stage — providing the support needed to help them
reach the highest level.

Through Grow for Gold, Sports Gold Coast brings together a network of elite coaches, Olympians, Paralympians, industry leaders and community partners — all aligned around a shared goal: helping Gold Coast athletes progress to the world stage.
